Securing Your Experience
Pharmacy work experience is more than a line on your UCAS form. It's your first opportunity to witness the impact of pharmaceutical care on patient outcomes. Start early, be persistent, and reflect deeply on every interaction.

Community Focus
Independent pharmacies are excellent starting points. They often offer a direct line to the pharmacist and a closer look at patient-centred care in the heart of the community.
Hospital Routes
Hospital placements provide insight into clinical pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams. Contact your local NHS trust's education department at least 6 months in advance.

Reflection Tip
Don't just record what you did—record what you observed. How did the pharmacist handle a difficult consultation? What role did medicines safety play in their decision?
